In 1970 Anton Simor developed and patented the solid-state
diaphragm logic block which was the heart of the dental
unit. |
 |
The president of the company, Mr. Anton
Simor, started his career in the industry in 1971 to commercialize
an innovative dental delivery system technology, which
he patented as the pilot system for fluid delivery. Pictured
is the first Dental Unit manufactured which was mounted
to the armrest of a dental chair. |
 |
In 1974 Anton introduced his first ever Dental Chair. |
 |
In 1976, he simplified the handpiece hanger by replacing
a valve by a simple bleed air surface. Pictured is one
of the first ever built valve-less handpiece hanger, this
was later adopted and is still in use by the leading manufacturer
in the industry. |
 |
Anton developed in 1982 a Dental Unit that pivoted around
the toe-board of the patient chair and supplied a number
of them to the University of Florida. This picture is
one of the original units manufactured. This development
became an industry standard and is the current design
offered by Global Dental Direct. |
 |
In 1988, he lead the way by removing controls from the
unit head to provide a completely smooth aseptic surface
as well as introducing a single point quick disconnect
unit head . |
Among others he was the first to introduce the non mechanical
handpiece and airbrake activation, the built in disposable
exhaust filter traps and the truly unique, multi-point pivoting
movement providing backrest position compensation for the
patient chair.
He contributed with product development to Den-Tal-Ez Corporation,
J. Morita Corporation, KaVo Manufacturing Corp. and most recently
to Global Dental Direct Corp.
